ICC World Cup 2019 Points Table: Find out who’s on the points table after 29 matches, top-10 batsmen, bowlers

The points table has changed drastically from the two matches played on Saturday at the ICC World Cup 2019. India beat Afghanistan by 11 runs in the 28th match of the World Cup on Saturday, while New Zealand beat the West Indies by 5 runs. The victory of the Indian and New Zealand teams further strengthened the race for the semi-finals.

India were 224 for 8 in 50 overs against Virat Kohli’s 67 and Kedar Jadhav’s 56 in the first innings at Southampton, in reply to Afghanistan’s 213 for 49.5 overs. Mohammad Nabi was the top scorer with 52 runs for Afghanistan. For India, Mohammad Shami took a total of 4 wickets, including a hat-trick, while Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya and Yuzvendra Chahal took 2-2. 

Kane Williamson (148) helped New Zealand make 291/-1in in 50 overs in the match played in Manchester. Scored 8. In reply, Carlos Brathwaite (101) and Chris Gayle (87) were all out for 286 in 49 overs and lost the match by 5 runs.

After 29 matches played so far, the New Zealand team has reached the top of the points table. After the victory over the West Indies, New Zealand have reached the top of the list with a win in 6 matches and 11 points. The second is Australia with 5 wins in 6 matches. The Indian team beat Afghanistan to secure their fourth victory in 5 matches and is third. England are fourth with 4 wins in 6 matches. 

Sri Lanka and the West Indies are fifth and sixth with two victories respectively. The West Indies and South Africa are at number seven and eighth respectively with one win each. Pakistan is ninth with one win and Afghanistan is at the last position after losing six consecutive matches.
